The Empowered Communicator Coaching Programme

This unique coaching and development programme is designed to empower communicators with the mindset, tools, support and practices they need to unlock their inner confidence and natural potential.

Programme Overview

5 Month Programme: 7 May 2024 - 1 October 2024

The Empowered Communicator is a unique coaching and development programme designed to foster a deep sense of personal self-awareness and self-belief, enabling participants to become naturally confident, influential, resilient and inspiring communication leaders of the future.

Focusing on the premise that we perform at our best when we can recognise and fully unlock our true selves and natural potential, this programme will empower participants to step-up in authentic and sustainable ways, setting them up for success now and in the future.

The programme will support internal communicators to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and of others, exploring the power of words and behaviour, creating psychologically safe cultures, and influencing with confidence and authority.

Participants will develop personalised strategies to manage and overcome limiting beliefs, habits and self-criticism to feel more resilient, empowered and productive.

Delivered over five months, the course includes group coaching calls, self-reflection, teaching and online learning, practical exercises and challenges. It is designed to equip participants with the mindset, tools and practices they need to become influential and trusted strategic communication advisors and leaders.

The programme is also a unique opportunity to develop strong connections and build a network of like-minded professionals, encouraging an ethos of collective thinking, sharing and learning, and facilitating peer-to-peer support and collaboration.

Who is the course for?

The coaching programme is designed, and will be most ideal, for Communication Professionals at mid to senior level, with a minimum 3 years' experience especially if they:

  • hold themselves back in their career because they don’t feel good enough
  • feel their career progress has plateaued
  • struggle to speak up, share their expertise or influence with confidence
  • have an overactive inner critic affecting their levels of productivity or self-belief
  • doubt, dismiss or cannot appreciate their capabilities and expertise
  • find it difficult to set and honour boundaries meaning they take on too much, people please or feel stressed and overwhelmed
  • desire to understand and unlock their unique and natural capabilities and potential so they can enjoy a more fulfilling career and life
  • wish to feel more valued, respected and recognised.

The programme is most suitable for those working at Level Two and above of the Profession Map.

What will you learn?

This unique coaching and development programme will enable participants to unlock the Profession Map behaviours for and within themselves, namely empowerment, empathy, curiosity, tenacity, creativity, adaptability and trust.

By the end of the programme participants will:

  • develop deeper self-awareness to understand and appreciate their natural qualities and abilities so they feel willing and able to step up into their next level self in sustainable and authentic ways
  • develop a deeper understanding of other people and how cultures and group behaviours are influenced and formed
  • build and sustain personal confidence, compassion and belief in themselves so they can take courageous, aligned action
  • understand the power of words and behaviour and their role in influencing others and creating psychologically safe cultures
  • develop personalised strategies to manage and overcome limiting beliefs, unhelpful habits and critical self-talk to feel more resilient, empowered and productive
  • establish and embody practices that support their physical, emotional and mental resilience so they can enjoy a healthier state of mind and body and calmer, more fulfilled life.

How is it delivered?

The programme is designed to run over 5 months with a reflection break over the summer.

There will be four key components to the programme:

  • Group calls will include a multi-dimensional coaching approach including NLP, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Appreciative Enquiry techniques tailored to the needs of the delegates. Delegates will additionally benefit from peer-to-peer support, accountability, knowledge sharing, spotlight coaching, masterminding and Q&A opportunities during the group calls.
  • Self-reflection - greatest transformation comes from self-reflection and developing a deep understanding and appreciation of self. Journalling, questioning techniques and reflection activities will all be used so that delegates can gain helpful personal insights. Self awareness and understanding transcends out to build a deeper understanding and empathy for other people, enabling stronger connections and influence to be built.
  • Teaching and online learning - knowledge and insights on behavioural conditioning, habit and belief formation will be shared to help delegates understand themselves better and learn how to become more confident, empowered and resilient.
  • Practical exercises and challenges will be set to increase delegates self-awareness, confidence, self-esteem and resilience, as well as enable them to unlock limiting beliefs so they can feel more empowered at work, at home and in their relationships.

In addition, should the cohort of delegates wish, a buddy system could also be organised for further accountability and support throughout the programme.
